April 7th, 9th, 14th, 16th, 17th @ 4:30-6:00pm - Ever wanted to build a machine that uses the power of water to move things? Join our after-school engineering program, lead by local genius Geneva Mottet, to do just that! Over five sessions, you'll learn the physics of simple machines, build a "Corn Puff Crusher," and work as a team to engineer a giant hydraulic Rube Goldberg machine to be displayed at the library. On the final day, we’ll celebrate your hard work with a community showcase of your designs, notes, and individual projects. Let’s get building! Grades 3-10. Register by emailing morgan.park@gustavus.lib.ak.us or calling (907) 697-2350.
